Brand Identity for a Community Organization

About the Project

«Creative Sumy Region» is a community of people who believe that creativity can be more than inspiration — it can become a sustainable business. The cluster brings together entrepreneurs, artists, and creatives who want to turn their ideas into real projects and sources of income. Our goal was to create a brand identity that feels modern, approachable, and relevant to a wide range of creative professionals. A brand that supports rather than instructs, and inspires people to take the first step.

Brand Concept

The biggest challenge was finding a symbol that represented not only creativity but also entrepreneurship. We deliberately avoided overused clichés such as light bulbs, paintbrushes, and other familiar creative icons, looking instead for a symbol with its own unique character. That search led to the «Creative Pine Cone». The Sumy region is known for its vast pine forests, and this distinctive natural feature became the foundation of the brand concept. Every pine cone contains seeds — a symbol of potential, fresh ideas, and future growth. The symbol also carries another meaning familiar to every entrepreneur. In Ukrainian, the expression «to get a few bumps» refers to learning through mistakes. Success often comes from trial and error, and every setback becomes valuable experience that helps move you forward. Friendly, approachable, and slightly playful, the Creative Pine Cone became a symbol of support, courage, and a reminder that every great project begins with a single small step.

Visual Identity

The project resulted in a complete visual identity system, including the logo, color palette, graphic language, and a range of branded communication materials designed to ensure a consistent and recognizable visual presence.

Who This Project Is For

This case study is relevant for non-governmental organizations, creative clusters, cultural and educational initiatives, local communities, business networks, and anyone looking to build a brand with a meaningful story — not just a beautiful logo.
